Silk is a born in Canada academic, the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Ilkay Silk's wife Ilkay Silk works as an actress and director for St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Annas first memories are of watching her mum work at play rehearsals. Silk was a child star in a variety of commercials.
